Christmas in the Square

Celebrate the season in Downtown Woodstock at Museum Square: Cozy lights, cheerful music, and family fun for all ages.

Saturday, December 13 and 20: 12:00–4:00 PM

What to Expect

Free Downtown Train Cart Rides: Hop on at Museum Square; enjoy a festive loop along our downtown streets; perfect for kids and kids-at-heart. All aboard!
Santa’s House: Meet and greet Santa in his charming house; snap your own selfie or have our friends at the Woodstock Camera Club capture the moment.

Location: Museum Square, Downtown Woodstock

Make a day of it: browse local shops; warm up with a bite at nearby cafés; share the holiday spirit with our downtown community.

Music in the Square

Come to Museum Square for a little lunchtime concert. Music in the Square happens every Thursday from 12 pm to 2 pm during the Summer months.

Grab some lunch from one of the neighbouring businesses or bring your own and enjoy live bands and musicians.

Woodstock Shopping Night

Our monthly shopping event, Woodstock Shopping Night, typically occurs every 4th Thursday of the month. Participating stores stay open late until 8 pm to facilitate late-night shopping. Enjoy a great night out in downtown Woodstock with extended store hours & exciting specials.

Organized by Oxford County Pride, this family-friendly event takes place in Museum Square. Expect vendors, music and a celebration of all things 2SLGBTQI+.

Lighting of Museum Square

Organized by the City of Woodstock, the Lighting of Museum Square is the official start of the Christmas season. Think sparkling lights, hot chocolate, music, entertainment and a very special guest all the way from the Northpole.

Santa Claus Parade

Organized by the City of Woodstock, the Santa Claus Parade features holiday-themed floats, marching bands, community groups and, of course, Santa! Departing from the Woodstock Fairgrounds, the parade will make its way along Dundas Street turning right onto Light Street to end in Victoria Park, 413 Buller St.
